Welcome To My Website and Team Page: For those of you who do not know me, my name is Brent Upham I am currently a Diamond Beachbody Coach in Orlando, Florida and the Owner/ Founder of Rise Up & Go. My story starts far before I was ever introduced to Beachbody, but what I love most about working for this company is it has allowed me to live out who I was created by God to be.

If I told every detail of what God has done in my life to get me to this point, you’d be reading for days. And since you are probably ready to start working out and drinking Shakeology here is the 3min version. |
I have always been a leader, even at a young age I was the one willing to take risk or face a dare because I wanted to be the one to experience it first. I never backed down from a challenge, which at times was my greatest enemy, but when harnessed correctly became my biggest ally. I was heavily involved in sports and playing baseball gave me a confidence nothing could duplicate. If I failed, I had another game, another at bat, another chance. I would get back in the batters box and believed I would succeed every time. See, baseball players fail 70% of the time, it’s inevitable. But quitting, that wasn’t an option, it wasn’t even in my vocabulary, in fact, I don’t think I knew how to spell that word until I was in college.
Then on beautiful spring day in February of 2006, my life changed in an instant. A player on another team slid into me spikes up and shattered 2 bones in my leg in 6 different places. There were no more chances, no more at bats, the lazy pop fly I hit the left fielder the inning before would be my last career plate appearance. My confidence was wrecked (I didn’t know it at the time) I tried to make a comeback, but complications and 2 additional surgeries would barely allow me to practice. I was done. I was defeated.
I decided to take the traditional path, finish my degree, get a job and go into corporate America (Boring). I did, and it worked for a little while, but I was empty, there was a void in my life so big you could see from the moon. I tried to fill it with things of this world (Money, status, drinking)
I had begun to feel like God had forgotten about me. Baseball was suppose to be my purpose in life, baseball was my confidence, baseball was my Identity. Then in October of 2009 I felt the Lord calling me to ‘Rise Up’ but it wasn’t just about me rising up out of this rut I was in. It was about encouraging others to ‘Rise Up’ and be who they were designed by God to be. See, God never leaves or forsakes us and I had forgotten that. My identity had been found in baseball, but in that moment I realized it was truly found in Christ. I had known that for the last 12 years of being a Christian, but never had that light bulb moment where it all clicked. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
I decided to follow what God had planned for me more closely, not really knowing what was next, I trusted what He had planned for my life. Remember, I am a risk taker, a dare devil, just the right type of person for God to give a crazy challenge to and take it. I left the cooperate world and teamed up with my sister to start a T-Shirt company (Rise Up and Go). The mission was to use our clothing line to influence, encourage, and motivate urban youth to use the gifts and talents God had blessed them with to honor and glorify Him.
Since my playing days were over and my leg was never the same (or so I thought) it didn’t take long for me to add on 35lbs. Being an athlete my whole life, working out was in my DNA. I tried to stay as active as possible, but I was always sore due to my leg. I had tried every workout under sun and none of them worked. Then, in the early summer of 2011 I saw a Facebook post for a free P90X workout, little did I know less than a year later I would be engaged to the beautiful woman who made that post. Anyways, I went to the free class and loved it. Got involved in a Summer Slimdown Challenge using Insanity and Shakeology. I lost 27lbs, my leg felt great and then out of no where my friends and family were asking me what I did to loose the weight and gain the muscle. I simply shared what I was doing.
At the time Alli and I were just dating and I was deferring the business to her, because that was her thing. About a week later she looked me in the eye and said “What are you doing?” “These people believe in you, they trust you, they are inspired by you. Why aren’t you coaching them at least part time?” So I did, I became a Beachbody Coach on my own time, when I could fit it in to my schedule and within 6months I was a Diamond Coach…. Wait, What???
The T-Shirt company was floundering, but the mission will always be the same. Influence, encourage, and motivate people to use the gifts and talents God has given them. That’s when I saw God putting the next piece of the puzzle together. I could continue to reach people, share my testimonies and do it all through fitness. So that was that. I have decided to follow the next step God has for me in this journey of life and pursue the same mission I have always had, using fitness as the tool…. The cool thing is, we still have T-Shirts too!!!
